This is my diary entry about the story :» An Eye for an Eye».

Write a diary entry for Mary Banks as if you had just returned to your prison cell after

your interview with Sir Matthew. Narrate the events that took place from your

perspective. Include your feelings, impressions and future prospects. What does the title mean? Can you provide any examples to which this
expression can be applied to?

Dear diary,
I am going through some difficult moments, I have been hiding my secret and my guilt for some time. Today I am going to testify before my lawyers, Sir Matthew Roberts QC and Bernard Casson, the crime I committed.

Since this morning I have been afraid to declare, what will be my penalty? How will I tell them? How will I explain the reason for what I did?. Then a guard opened my cell door and guided me to a table in the middle of a room, later I saw my attorney, Sir Mathew, Mr. Casson and another man who I didn’t know, that entered to the interviewing room of Holloway Prison. Then they asked me a couple of questions and showed me evidence to support my guilt.

While I was answering some questions, all of a sudden, Sir Matthew hit A cup of coffee, making it break on the gloomy marble floor. After that, occurred the most disgusting event took place, I have witnessed it during my declaration, I couldn’t react. While Sir Mathew and Mr. Casson were asking me some questions, the third whose name I didn’t know. He put his right hand over his left eye and quietly, take it out of its socket and placed it on a small silk panel on the table. At that moment, I stayed quiet, I had no words to say because of my disgust.

Finally, the man put the right eye back into its socket and stayed watching at me. I decided to declare, I made manslaughter.
I hope I could have luck.
Mary Banks
